Byron Bay Wildlife SanctuaryA new home for Flavours of Byron Bay

Come say hello to Flavours of Byron Bay at our new home at the Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary (previously the Macadamia Castle)

If you enjoy picking your own special selection of local delicacies – head on down to the Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary  (previously the Macadamia Castle) where you will find the biggest and best selection of ‘Flavours of Byron Bay’ now in store.

We have partnered with the @bbwildlifesanctuary to create a retail space for a ‘one stop shop’ for all of the flavours of Byron Bay under one roof.  This is a great location to stop on by to pick up all of your local gourmet essentials before flying out from the Byron Ballina Airport or on your drive home.

We are so happy to be able to support such an amazing initiative. We love the team and their genuine passion who truly embody their ultimate value: #FORTHEWILDLIFE.

The Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary now has so many more amazing things to do and see!  This location has always been so well known for all the great animal experiences, shows, feeding times and amazing parklands.  The park team have such a great culture and we have been made to feel so welcomed by the team.  There’s also a fantastic new menu now available in the onsite café and bar.

The Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is a fantastic must-see destination and is perfect for the young and the young at heart.

With Matilda (the mobile wildlife hospital) now permanently on site – this is the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital’s new home.

Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital (BBWH)
BBWH was created to provide much needed support and care to local injured wildlife.  The mobile veterinary clinic – fondly called ‘Matilda’, is fitted with specialised equipment and has an even more specialised and passionate crew. Unfortunately, injuries and sicknesses occur much more frequently than you would think.  Since opening in October 2020, the mobile clinic has admitted over 1000 wildlife patients (in less than 12 months).
Matilda is now in her new home at the Macadamia Castle in the hills behind Byron Bay. Running under Wildlife Recovery Australia (WRA) a joint venture of Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital and Odonata Foundation.

Come and get involved!  The future holds such amazing opportunities for sick and injured Australian Wildlife.  Definitely worth coming to check out all the new improvements and changes taking place.
